Design Principles

KISS Principle

Keep It Simple, Stupid — most systems work best when kept simple.

The KISS principle states that simplicity should be a key goal in design, and unnecessary complexity should be avoided.

Originating from the U.S. Navy in 1960, the principle recognizes that systems perform best when they have simple designs rather than complex ones.
